Ultimately, the poem reveres art as a primal, vital part of existence, equating it with breath, food, family, and faith.

Vogue M. Robinson is a multifaceted artist, poet, educator, performer, and painter, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. She served as the second Poet Laureate of Clark County from 2017 to 2019 and is notably the first Black woman to receive the Silver Pen Award from the Nevada Writers' Hall of Fame. A graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in English, Vogue has been deeply involved in promoting literary arts. She has collaborated with institutions like The Smith Center for Performing Arts and has been instrumental in initiatives such as Poetry Promise, Inc., a nonprofit organization that sponsors educational programs, public readings, workshops, and publishing activities. 

 Vogue's poetry is known for its narrative and conversational style, often reflecting on themes like family, love, aging, and Black culture. Her first full-length poetry collection, "Vogue 3:16," published in 2014 by Wrags Ink, showcases her ability to weave personal experiences with universal emotions. Beyond writing, she offers services as a guest speaker, workshop facilitator, resume coach, and artist mentor. Her workshops are tailored to various themes, including body image, self-confidence, grief, and cultural history, aiming to unlock creative energy through poetry and painting. .
